The most popular of our selection of handcrafted swordbelts is based on an example found in a Flemish painting of the late 14th or early 15th Century. Angled straps suspended from a large ring is one of the most practical frog designs we've encountered in our research and is equally appropriate for broadsword, small sword or rapier.
The difference between this fluid design and a rigid angled frog is beyond description. Suffice it to say that allowing your sword's own natural balance to work for you, frees you from vigilant awareness and positioning of your sword as you sit down to an ale, move through a crowded event or kneel before royalty. In our testing, we've found this to be the most comfortable and versatile swordbelt we've ever worn.

Inspired by the swordbelt of Sir Robert de Bures, our Sir Robert Swordbelt is generously adorned with eyelets and studs. The interlaced frog system holds your scabbard securely in place, while a slight angle offers ready access to your hilt. Available in dark brown (shown), chestnut, dark tan, or black with nickel or brass buckles, eyelets and rivets. When ordering, please provide a measured waist size and the circumference of your scabbard 5 inches down from the throat.

Glory to the brave! Anyone familiar with the movie "Ivanhoe" will remember that phrase as part of some pretty awesome tournament scenes. Inspired by those same scenes is this system of 2 belts which comfortably distributes the weight of your sword and holds it at the ready. The waist belt measures 1-1/4 inches wide with a matching 3/4-inch "frogged" belt supported by movable hangers. Belts are available in 60 and 72 inch lengths. The waist belt is removable for wearing without a sword.
The frog configuration buckles securely onto your scabbard, adjusts to a girth of 3-1/2 to 7-1/2 inches and will accommodate most swords. Custom sizing of frog straps at no extra charge.

The latest addition to our selection of handcrafted swordbelts is based on a popular 15th Century design. Belt measures 1 inch wide and features two rings; one in front near the buckle and one in back just left of the spine. From these rings, buckled straps are suspended, making your sword angle completely adjustable. The backmost of said straps splits into two pieces to better distribute weight and balance. Fitted leather scabbard mounts hold your sword securely.
